Gil Goren is a contemporary artist active in Israel and internationally since 2014. He began his professional career in the advertising industry, serving as a creative director for global brands. Later, he transitioned into the field of art with the aspiration to bring joy, intrigue, and innovation to the world.
Artistic Style & Innovation
Goren’s works are characterized by bold colors, three-dimensional effects, visual surprises, and messages that invite the viewer to interpret the artwork in a personal way. Since 2024, he has focused on advancing kinetic art, a style that dates back to 1603 with artist Paulus Ruy and was later developed by Yaacov Agam. In recent years, kinetic art has often been produced using prints on paper, but Goren innovates by creating hand-painted kinetic artworks on wood.
Exhibitions & Major Projects
Since 2014, Goren has exhibited in dozens of art fairs and exhibitions worldwide and in Israel.
- 2018 – Participated in the Street to Tower exhibition at World Trade Center No.4 in New York, organized by Silverstein Properties. He was one of only two non-American artists among 60 participants, exhibiting alongside renowned artists such as Ron English, Whisbe, Buffmonster, and others.
- Following the exhibition, he was invited to collaborate with fashion brands and architectural projects.
- Developed an exclusive line of artistic jackets in collaboration with The Very Warm fashion brand, which sold out entirely in major retail chains, including Barneys, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
- Designed comprehensive artistic concepts for hotels such as Schumacher Haifa, Capella Haifa, NYX Tel Aviv, and NYX Herzliya.
Special Art Projects
- 2022 – Embarked on a two-month artistic journey along historic Route 66 in the U.S., collecting driver’s doors from 1930s vehicles—symbols of those who took their fate into their own hands during the Great Depression. He restores these doors and transforms them into artworks that will be exhibited in 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of Route 66. This project was inspired by The Grapes of Wrath.
- 2023 – Before being called to military reserve duty during the "Iron Swords" war, he completed artistic concepts and works for:
- A luxury hospitality complex in Tuscany, Italy – villammtuscany.com
- A residential complex in Budapest, Hungary – This project was also exhibited at the Budapest Museum in a show focusing on the fusion of preservation and contemporary art.
- A business complex in Ibiza, Spain.
Awards & Recognition
- 2024 – Participated in Spectrum Miami Art Fair, where he was honored with the prestigious Award Winner – Best Solo Exhibitor 2024.
Upcoming Exhibitions
- 2025 – Currently working on his first museum solo exhibition, set to open in Israel in August 2025.
